THANKS TO ALL !!!!!!

Thank You Martin County Sheriff

Martin County Sheriff William Snyder treated IRP residents Thursday night to a hamburger/hotdog BBQ. 135 residents attended, twice the amount in 2018 for a similar event. Trisha M. Kukuvka, Martin County Sheriff Community Outreach Manager, updated residents on the Sheriff’s anti-crime efforts and how to be vigilant against potential crime.

A big thank you goes to Brad Cochran, Marriott General Manager, for the use of the tennis patio for the event. Thanks also to residents Georgia Post, Flip Stevens, Geoff Norris, John Jurgens and Kallie Jurgens for setting up the event and numerous residents for cleanup, especially Shawn Williams and John Jurgens who worked the sheriff's truck to put away chairs and tables.

Look for pictures of the event in the next IRP newsletter!

IRP POA Board to Sponsor Speaker Series

To further increase social activities on campus, the IRP POA Board will sponsor a speaker series this spring ONLY open it IRP residents.

Dr. Paul Bracken, professor of business and political science at Yale University and a resident of Tennis Villas, will speak on The Global Political Economy And Where Are We Headed on Tuesday February 25 at 3 pm at the Ocean House clubhouse.

The synopsis of the talk is: It probably comes as no shock to anyone to state that the global economy is changing, and that politics is driving much of the change. China’s economic slowdown, looming trade wars, Brexit, and frothy financial markets are important. But so too are rising nationalism, populism, uneasy old alliances (NATO, EU), and untested new ones. These changes raise a fundamental question: How do we analyze the global economy, in light of these different political and economic stresses? This talk will organize the big picture on geopolitics and economics.

The clubhouse can seat 50 residents. To reserve a seat, contact IRP POA Board Member Flip Stevens at [email protected]
